LONDON – Rome Resources Plc (AIM: RMR), a tin and base metals exploration company focused on the Democratic Republic of the Congo, has announced the discovery of a significant copper zone at Mount Agoma. The company uncovered a 148-metre intercept grading 0.35% copper, including a 62.25-metre high-grade section grading 0.61% copper, based on analysis results from drill hole MADD018.

The latest drilling results have expanded Mount Agoma’s potential as a large-scale polymetallic system, with copper and zinc mineralisation occurring at shallow levels and increasing tin grades at depth. Visible tin appeared across a 40m interval in drill hole MADD024, located 70m below a previously drilled hole that reported 0.1-0.3% tin grades.

The company’s drilling campaign exposed high-grade polymetallic minerals over 500m, which is an open area for expansion. Previous drilling at the site has yielded significant results, including 41m at 3.52% copper and 25.4m at 13.97% zinc, indicating a strong mineralized system.

Paul Barrett, CEO of Rome Resources, said: “These latest results confirm the presence of a large-scale, high-value copper, tin, zinc and silver system at Mont Agoma. Mineralization remains open along the line and at depth, with further potential for increased production through a 1,000m extension north.

The company has now mobilized all four drilling rigs at Mont Agoma to accelerate exploration, and is moving towards an initial mineral resource estimate. Metallurgical discussions are currently underway to ensure maximum recovery of the identified commodities.

The exploration strategy at Mount Agoma follows the geological model of granite-hosted tin and base metal deposits, expecting to find higher value tin minerals at greater depths. With tin prices exceeding $30,000/t, the increased presence of this mineral within the system significantly enhances the economic attractiveness of the project.

Rome Resources will continue to focus on deep drilling to test depth extensions and target increasing tin grades and copper potential. Further updates will be provided as additional analysis results are received. The Company’s operations near Goma remain unaffected by ongoing disruptions, with proactive logistics management ensuring continuity.
