After four years at Pepperstone, where he mostly served as head of engineering for EMEA, Ahmed Saeed has announced that he is now developing his own trading platform for CFD brokers called Fintake. His goal is to help companies break free from “technological uniformity” and focus on innovation.

Pepperstone’s former head of engineering for EMEA Ahmed Saeed has launched Fintake, a new trading platform for CFD brokers.

The platform promises solutions with flexible APIs and customizable features to help brokers stand out in the market.

Pepperstone expertise comes to Fintake

The Fintake team, led by Saeed, is made up of professionals who have previously worked with trading technologies at industry-leading CFD brokers. According to them, most brokers rely on identical solutions, which has turned them into “platform shops” offering the same systems with little room for flexibility and innovation.

“We build modern trading platforms to remove the limitations of legacy systems and help brokers build and move from ‘technological sameness’ to true innovation,” commented Saeed.

Saeed knows the CFD brokerage industry inside and out. He started his career with three years at FxPro’s Cyprus office as a senior software developer. He then spent a year building plugins and add-ons for the Meta Trader 4 and 5 platforms.

“With flexible APIs, customizable licensing models and scalable technology, we make it easy for brokers to innovate, streamline their operations and lead in their markets,” added Saeed. With Fintake, brokers can rely on technology that supports their vision, drives growth and sets them apart from the competition.”

For five years, he was also associated with trading technology company ChartIQ as a team leader for FX Solutions. He joined Pepperstone in March 2021 as a Senior Software Engineer, progressing through roles including Head of Engineering, Director of Engineering and eventually Head of Engineering for EMEA.

I started as the first engineer hired in Cyprus, and watched our team grow to over 20 talented individuals, working on projects such as Trading View integration, Pepperstone’s trading platform, and mobile app, to name a few,” Saeed stated.

Industry Professionals Take the Risk

Saeed is not the first (and certainly won’t be the last) FX/CFD industry expert to start his own venture. Earlier this year, Finance Magnates reported that Sam Eder, head of emerging markets at OANDA, left the company after 15 years to launch Market Mates from scratch. This isn’t Eder’s first entrepreneurial venture.

In August, Desimir Paskalev, a veteran of the trading industry with over a decade at brokerage firm XM, launched his own venture under the banner of Funded Bull. In an exclusive interview with Finance Magnates, Paskalev explained that he chose investment trading because of the lower barriers to entry compared to running a forex/CFD brokerage business.
