Sway Markets, a CFD broker, announced last week that it was suspending its operations. The company, which has been online since 2021, has “cleaned” all its social media accounts, its website is inaccessible, and its X profile (formerly Twitter) displays the word “Sold out”.
However, the operations of Sway Funded, a private trading firm launched less than a year ago under the company’s ownership, remain unaffected. Liquid Brokers, a new brand operating under the Pulse Markets Pty Ltd license, has reportedly acquired Sway Markets.
Sway Markets suspends operations while Prop Firm continues
News of Sway Markets’ exit from the market came out on February 7. While it wasn’t the most well-known brand, it has been running the Sway Funded brand since March 2024, which has made several acquisitions of other private trading companies in recent months.
Sway Markets, a CFD broker, has ceased operations and removed its online presence. However, its private trading firm Sway Funded continues to operate normally.
The acquisition list includes Karma Prop Trader, My Flash Funding, and ETF Funding, which had various issues, primarily related to liquidity.
The official website of Sway Markets is currently unresponsive, and the broker has removed all existing posts from its X account, adding “sold” to its name.
Trusted Prop reports that Sway Market clients were supposed to be transferred to the newly launched broker, Liquid Brokers. However, additional information about the company is scarce. According to its official website, Liquid Brokers is not an over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives product issuer and provides services exclusively to wholesale clients. The Company holds a license to conduct financial services business in Australia as a representative of Pule Markets Pty Ltd, which holds license DISCONNECT (220383).
Sway Funded Acquisition Date
Sway Funded performed relatively well in the promotional trading market, despite the parent broker’s suspension of business. In August 2024, Finance Magnates reported that the company had acquired its struggling rival, Karma Prop Traders, to take over its clients and their active challenges.
I just received an email from Sway stating that Sway Funded has acquired Karma,” a Discord user wrote under the pseudonym Bunny on Sway Funded’s server.
In July, the company reached an agreement with My Flash Funding, which was experiencing issues with the platform. All My Flash Funding clients have been moved to Sway Funded, although the brand continues to be an education hub.
The industry made headlines again at the start of this month when FTMO, one of Europe’s largest companies in the advertising trading sector, announced the acquisition of OANDA, one of the oldest brokerages operating in the Forex/CFD sector.
